To sit back hoping that someday, someway, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last--but eat you he will.
These pictures were taken after a recent rain event and are intended to demonstrate the ongoing nature of the washout and repair cycle. The washouts are repaired by hauling in truckloads of dirt to replace the dirt that has eroded into the canals. One might wonder WHY they do not just retrieve the dirt from the canal. This solution would, at least, save the taxpayers the expense of purchasing dirt. At best, it would restore the capacity of the canals and help alleviate flooding.
