RELATED PRIOR EXPERIENCE:

My previous organizational membership with the Saint John’s Hotel Motel Association has prepared me for serving as a member of the Board of Supervisors.  While serving on that panel, we were required to try to change regulations, update regulations, inform owners on current coding, zoning and acquisition of permitting on owners behalf.

ORGANIZATIONAL MEMBERSHIPS:

As a founding member of the Flagler Estates Concerned Citizens I have attended many meetings regularly within Flagler Estates for several organizations. While a member, I have actively communicated with other residents by actively seeking votes and educating others on local politics.  I have sought change for the District and the Community to bring forth a positive image and enlighten others.

PERSONAL BACKGROUND:

I have held free computer group classes for other residents in Flagler Estates for the past three years. Prior to that, I taught individuals for the past 10 years.  I have been actively involved in the needs of others during their time of disaster regarding home issues.  I have volunteered at several community events over the past 3 years to assist in raising funds for the Flagler Estates Concerned Citizens.

BRIEF COMMENT ABOUT BOARD CANDIDACY:
 

One of the main reasons I became a board member is to support a positive outlook toward the constituents and end the negative arrogance of previous board members and staff that was aimed at the general public.  Primarily, I intend to seek completion of ongoing, incomplete projects, at an acceptable standard within or under budget.  Following in the footsteps of our past two board members, I hope to continue the growth and development within the community by being fiscally responsible, answering to my constituents, and bring my own ideas to the table.  Through the workshop meetings, we will discuss different ideas and opinions of all board members and eliminate negative impact on the taxpayers and the community.
