The Board of Supervisors

The Board consists of three members who hold equal power. 

The President is George Nelson. He was supported by the FECC and the majority of landowners. He has been instrumental in bringing our community together for positive change. 

Kathy Fisher has been on the Board as Secretary since June of 2010.  She is also an FECC founding member. With the election of a second FECC member, the changes the community envisioned are becoming a reality.  

Paul Hansen Jr. was elected to the Board in June of 2011.  He is an active FECC member and is a major asset to the community. 

While it is the role of Staff to advise the Board, the Board members have a responsibility to investigate issues and consult outside experts who hold no personal interest in the decisions reached.  In other words, they have a responsibility to exercise due diligence.  It is acceptable to trust Staff, but, in making decisions of such magnitude, they need to "Trust, but verify."

It is our sincere hope that these elected officials remember that they are in office to represent the people. The FECC is making every effort to become a well-informed constituency and to assist the Board in carrying out their obligation to due diligence by bringing information to them and letting our position on issues be known.

The Staff

Attorney - Rusty Castleberry is the District attorney. He is also the Putnam County attorney.  His job is to make sure the meetings are properly conducted and to try to keep the District from being sued.  Other legal matters are performed in addition to these duties.

Engineer - Matthews Design Group is currently serving as the District Engineering Firm.  Scott Knowles is a welcome addition and many projects that were only discussed and paid into are actually getting done.

Engineer - THIS IS THE FORMER ENGINEER. HE RESIGNED IN APRIL. Mike Kelter is the former mayor of Green Cove Springs. What can be said of this professional?  His vision is grand. 

GRAND is expensive, folks.  Expensive may not be in the best interest of this "affordable housing" community.  Other experts have taken issue with his conclusions. (See FAQ's)

Foreman - Mike Paesch is very competent as he carries out his job and is always available to the residents.

Office Manager - Linda Gee is our new addition to the Staff. Stop by and meet her.

Treasurer - Seth O'Connell.
