 This can only be good news for the landowners of Flagler Estates.  Personal reasons were sighted for his resignation, effective immediately.  It is important that the Board of Supervisors select his replacement carefully.  They need to be open-minded and not take the recommendations made by Mr. Kelter as the only options.  This is a perfect time to bring some fiscal responsibility into the equation when implementing projects.  Cost vs. Benefit MATTERS!

  There has been some concern about the suddenness of this resignation. My guess would be that the Board asked for the resignation.

 Perhaps, one more incomplete permit application occurred or one more deadline was missed.  Maybe facts were "misconstrued" one more time.  With all the times the Board was presented with evidence of such doings and they refused to believe it, maybe one more thing happened and they could no longer refuse to see what has been in front of them for the last two years.

The most important thing is that he is gone.  I read some articles in the Clay Today newspaper dated the last week of April,2010 from Green Cove Springs.  It seems they are experiencing similar misdoings. Coincidence?  Hmmm...

That said, there is no reason to kick a dead horse.
