The mission of FLAGLER ESTATES CONCERNED CITIZENS is to protect the rural flavor of Flagler Estates by forming a group of talented citizens to keep government  involvement  to a minimum, taxes low and the freedom of living in the country alive and well for the enjoyment of those who live here now and for the next generations to come.

Who We Are...

Flagler Estates Concerned Citizens, Inc is a non-profit, grassroots organization that was formed in order to speak in a unified voice on the issues that affect our lives.  The concern that prompted the formation of the F.E.C.C. is the tax increase placed upon the landowners within Flagler Estates by the Flagler Estates Road and Water Control District (FERWCD).

On May 28th, 2008 the FERWCD Board voted 2-1 to increase the assessment upon the residents they work for by 63%. It was an eleventh hour decision based on inconclusive information and despite of widespread objections from their constituency.

The first objective of the F.E.C.C. is to seek remedy to the unreasonable tax increase and to be diligent in monitoring the actions taken by a Board that has forgotten for whom they work. It is our goal to have government accountability for the actions they take that are supposed to be on behalf of the citizens.
